Spurs striker Harry Kane is said to be Bayern Munich’s long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. Lewandowski has one year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena and has expressed no desire to extend his stay.
The 33-year-old is eager to join Barcelona, who recently made a £34 million bid for his services.
In the market for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea has also been linked with Thomas Tuchel.
Lewandowski publicly stated his desire to leave the Bundesliga champions earlier in May, but the Bavarian club is unsure whether to sell the forward or keep him for the remainder of his contract.
They are aware, however, that they will need to replace the ex-Borussia Dortmund striker either this summer or in 2023.
According to rumors, Bayern’s preferred target is England’s captain Kane.
They claim that a move for the 28-year-old is quite possible but could be difficult this summer.
Bayern could entice him to Germany next summer when Kane’s contract with Tottenham expires.
However, at this time Bayern may now look to bring in an interim striker for the coming season before pursuing a move for Kane in 2023.
