Gregory Itzin was an actor who died on July 8, 2022.

He played President George W. Bush in Fox’s successful series 24.

 

Itzinnwas nominated for a Tony Award for his role in The Kentucky Cycle in 1993, joined the cast of 24 in 2005 during the fourth season.

Itzin first appeared as Vice President Charles Logan in a recurring role before returning as President the next season and became one of the show’s primary players. For his portrayal, he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

He was 74.

What happened to Gregory Itzin?

He died from natural causes.

His son Wilke Itzin and 24 executive producers and director Jon Cassar both confirmed his death.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my father, Gregory Martin Itzin,” Wilke Itzin posted on Instagram.

Cassar posted on Twitter, “My friend Greg Itzin died away today.” “He was one of the most accomplished performers I had the pleasure of working with, but he was also an all-around kind man.” He would be missed by his 24 families, who loved and respected him. You’ve made your mark.
