Liverpool fans who were worried about the rumored departure of the talented 25-year-old defender from Anfield can rest easy now.
New just in has it that the Anfield boss, Klopp has intervened and as a result, Gomez has signed a new long-term contract with the English football club.
The Liverpool manager isn’t ready to let the defender go yet. It appears he will feature in his plans for the upcoming season prominently.
After signing the new deal an ecstatic Gomez addressed the media saying, “it’s obviously a special moment for me and my family. Another one that you dream of as a kid and one I don’t take for granted.”
“It is an unbelievable place to be; in my eyes, probably one of the best – if not the best – clubs in the world at the minute.”
“The opportunity to extend my stay here was an easy decision to make, really.”
