In a statement, Brooklyn law enforcement claims that a gunfight that occurred overnight included more than 100 rounds of ammunition. Numerous eyewitnesses claim that two groups of individuals were exchanging gunfire in an apartment complex’s parking area.

Police then discovered a vehicle they believed was involved in the shooting, and a chase ensued. However, the driver eventually stopped the car along the way and fled on foot. The suspect has still not been found.

In the parking area of the apartment complex, police found 75 expended gunshot casings. At another site on Northway Drive, east of Xerxes Avenue North, 25 more expended casings were discovered. As the inquiry goes on, more shells and gunshot damage are being discovered.

Thus far no injuries have been reported in any of the nearby locations. The investigation continues as video evidence and other eyewitness reports are collected from the area and other nearby neighborhoods according to police.
