Chelsea is said to be finalizing a deal to bring Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling to Stamford Bridge. This summer, the 27-year-old England international, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad.
Apparently, Barcelona had been interested in the former Liverpool man earlier this year, but Chelsea has now emerged as the obvious favorite to sign the Manchester City winger and hopes to do so this very week.
According to rumors, however, the transfer fee could reach £55 million dollars. This will include £45 million upfront, with an additional £10 million dollars in potential add-ons.
Per speculations, Sterling is quite okay with the terms of the move and is excited to return to London soon.
Chelsea expects him to join the rest of the squad on their pre-season tour of the United States, which begins a few days away on July 17.
Prior to Sterling’s arrival, the Blues have open offers for Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
