For obvious reasons, the 27year-old Tunisian has been making airwaves after crashing Marie Bouzkova of the Czech Republic at the Center Court to secure a spot in the Women’s Wimbledon Semi-finals.
The highest surviving seed in the women’s draw, third seed Ons Jabeur, recovered from losing the first set at Wimbledon 2022 to beat Marie Bouzkova( 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 ) to reach her first Grand Slam semi-final.
Ons Jabeur has won 10 straight matches on grass since losing in the first round of this year’s Roland Garros, having arrived at the All England Club with a title in Berlin.
The Tunisian, who is currently ranked second in her career, will face 103rd-ranked Tatjana Maria, who defeated fellow German Jule Niemeier earlier in the day, for a place in Saturday’s final.
She became the first Arab to reach a Grand Slam singles semi-final and would be longing to become the first woman from Africa to win a major trophy.
