Marcus Fairs, the CEO of Dezeen, died at the age of 54. He started the design site 16 years ago in his spare room. Dezeen was acquired last year by JP/Politiken Media Group, a Danish company.
He founded the Icon magazine in 2003 and has since received numerous design accolades, including an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Institute of British Architects. The Evening Standard named him one of the 1,000 most influential Londoners in 2017.
