One of Nashville’s most successful business owners has unexpectedly passed on at age 57. According to a family spokesperson, Darrell S. Freeman Sr’s family issued a statement this morning announcing his death, which occurred at his Brentwood home.

When he sold Zycron Inc. for more than $20 million in April 2017, Freeman was the founder of one of Nashville’s largest technology services companies.
Freeman, the first in his family to attend college, founded Zycron Inc., which he sold in nearly half a decade for more than $20 million dollars.
Following that, he devoted thousands of hours and millions of dollars to assist young, disadvantaged people in attending college and budding Black entrepreneurs in his environs.
