Harmony Tan coach: Who is Nathalie Tauziat?
After winning on Tuesday, Tan congratulated her coach and mentioned that, although it had been “a long time ago,” her coach had once faced off against Williams.
Tan stated, “I’d like to thank everyone for coming today, as well as my team and my coach Natalie Tauziat, who also played Serena. Nathalie, I appreciate your being here.
Tennis player Bianca Andreescu from Canada is coached by Tauziat as well.
Williams played her first competitive singles match in a year, and Tan carried out a game plan aimed at putting her legs and feel to the test.
Tan, who wasn’t a particularly strong hitter, countered Williams’ strength with a variety of drop shots, slices, and short angles.
Tan was able to push Williams into 53 unforced errors, many of which came from spinning balls close to the net that she had to hit while running full-speed or while attempting to change directions.
