Barry Garron, the genial Midwesterner who was The Hollywood Reporter’s chief television critic for several years is said to have passed on untimely at the age of 72.

Garron died Thursday morning (June 23) at a rehabilitation facility in Gilbert, Arizona, after being hospitalized over the Memorial Day weekend, according to rumors.
The 72-year-old tv personality is said to have had Crohn’s disease since his 20s and had also been diagnosed with cancer.
However, his death reason remains a mystery that can only be resolved by an autopsy report. Barry Garron is said to be survived by his only daughter Rachel Dain, who worked as a production engineer for KCAL-TV and KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.
Garron was known among his colleagues and companions for his laidback persona, deep understanding, and love of television, which landed him several job opportunities in his over four decades of career on TV.
