Mitt Romney and Ronna McDaniel are essentially related.
Sen. Mitt Romney and Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, have “exchanged some texts” regarding the party’s censure of two members who are involved in a Congressional investigation into the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, the Utah senator revealed this week.
How are Ronna McDaniel and Mitt Romney related?
According to Republicans, their investigations into who carried out the tragic attack and how it happened constitute to “persecution of regular persons engaged in lawful political dialogue.”
Romney, 74, objected vehemently.
He said of the resolution: “It could not have been a more unsuitable message.” He continued by saying that in texts to McDaniel, he “explained my point of view.”
One of the seven Republicans who voted to convict President Donald Trump in the Senate impeachment hearing that followed the attack on January 6 was Romney, a former governor of Utah who ran for president in 2012.
(He had a prior meeting with Trump to discuss a position in the administration.)
