In order to raise money for Oxfam, Eavis has organized a number of concerts, such as the Make Trade Fair performance in London’s Astoria in October 2002, which featured Coldplay, Noel Gallagher, and Ms Dynamite, and the show at the Hammersmith Apollo in September 2004 with REM as the headlining act.
In 2003, Coldplay, Paul Weller, Faithless, and Ronan Keating performed at a concert against the Iraq War that Eavis organized at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
