Stella McCartney was born on 13 September 1971, by emergency cesarean section at King’s College Hospital in Camberwell, London.
Her parents are Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney, who are both musicians. They were a part of the rock band named Wings, the name being inspired by Stella’s difficult delivery.
When she was younger, she and her siblings Heather, Mary, and James, traveled the globe with their parents.
Her older half-sister, Heather, was legally adopted by Paul. She is is an American-British potter and artist who launched a line of houseware products called the Heather McCartney Houseware Collection.
Her other older sister, Mary, is a photographer who is a Global Ambassador for Meat Free Monday and Green Monday. James, her younger brother, is a musician and songwriter who has contributed to solo albums by his parents, including Flaming Pie.
