William Gregory Magnussen popularly known as Billy was born in the New York borough of Queens. He is the son of aerobics teacher Daina Magnussen and renowned bodybuilder and kickboxer Greg Magnussen.
Magnussen made his Broadway first appearance in Rosie Perez’s 2007 play The Ritz. In 2012, he co-starred with David Hyde Pierce and Sigourney Weaver in Christopher Durang’s Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which premiered at Princeton’s McCarter Theatre before moving to New York City’s Lincoln Center.
