Dick Butkus whose full name is Richard Marvin Butkus died on October 5, 2023, at the age of 80, and was an American football linebacker, sports commentator, and actor. He played football for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League from 1965 to 1973.

His mother, Emma, worked 50 hours a week at a laundry.
