A man in his late 30s was recently attacked and assaulted by a group of motorcyclists in Senya Bereku, located in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

The violent incident occurred on Tuesday, April 10th around 10:00 pm at Zion C Basic School in Senya Bereku.

The victim, identified as Mr. Isaac Saint, was accused by the group of motorcycle riders of being responsible for the disappearance of a colleague rider’s penis. The accuser claimed that his penis went missing after he had given a ride to the victim, triggering the violent attack against Mr. Saint.

Witnesses reported that the victim was severely beaten with various objects such as metals, sticks, and stones. Despite his pleas for mercy, the angry mob continued to assault him, causing severe injuries and significant blood loss.

The Senya Bereku police eventually arrived at the scene and intervened to rescue the victim. They then accompanied the accuser to the Senya Polyclinic for a medical examination, which confirmed that his penis was indeed intact.

The accuser claimed that he had sought help from a spiritual healer at Jehovah El Shaddhai 7th Day Sabbath Assembly in Senya, who had performed a prayer for him.

Following the examination, both the accuser and the spiritual healer were arrested and are currently in police custody. Meanwhile, the victim is receiving medical treatment at the Winneba Specialist and Trauma Hospital.

Dr. Samuel Agyapong, the Acting Medical Superintendent at Senya Polyclinic, emphasized the importance of verifying allegations through proper medical examination before resorting to violence. He urged the public not to engage in acts of brutality based solely on unverified claims.
