Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong Peprah, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), paid a courtesy call to Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the National Police Headquarters in Accra.
The purpose of the tour was to look at measures to maintain the country safe and peaceful as well as to build ties between the Ghanaian police and the Ghanaian Armed Forces (GAF).
Lt Gen Peprah has never before made an official visit to the police headquarters since assuming the highest ranking military position.
Lt Gen Peprah promised the police leadership that he would maintain a strong cooperative relationship between the two organizations for the sake of Ghana, building on the achievements of his predecessors.
On behalf of the police hierarchy, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, IGP, wished the CDS well on his new position and conveyed appreciation for his visit.
Additionally, he gave Lt Gen Peprah his word that the police administration would always collaborate effectively with the GAF and all other sister security agencies in the nation.
