It has been decided not to hold the much-anticipated lecture by Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Isaac Adongo in response to Vice President and NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 70-point vision.
The event occurred as a result of the Chartered Institute of Bankers’ managers withdrawing their consent for the lecture to be held on their property under the sponsorship of CFR, the Coalition for Restoration.
As per CFR, the ranking member of the finance committee was supposed to make use of the opportunity to rectify what it terms as factual errors in the vice president’s presentation.
But in a statement announcing the postponement, CFR said that although the location had been reserved for the event, the facility’s managers had withdrawn their consent due to political concerns.
The group further claimed that, despite not having reservations, the Institute’s managers were informed beforehand that the Bolgatanga Central MP would be the special guest.
Many who were looking forward to the talk were disappointed by the situation, which prompted the group to apologize and express dismay at the turn of events.
In addition, receipts for the venue’s payment had been produced, according to the statement.
