Despite his achievements for the nation, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has divided the party, according to Kwesi Korang, the founder and head of Patriot Ghana, a group connected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
On February 12, 2024, Korang discussed his opinion on Frontline on Rainbow Radio, stating that Akufo-Addo has not demonstrated the ability to bring the party together, in contrast to former President Kufour.
He emphasized that Kufour was able to successfully bring the party together after winning the presidency and even won over those who had first opposed him.
But that is not the situation today, Korang said, highlighting the discrepancy. Even from a distance today, you will be able to discern that the party is divided.
While praising Akufo-Addo’s accomplishments as governor, including building roads, hospitals, and schools, Korang underlined that resolving internal animosity and division within the party is crucial to the party’s success as a whole.
“He has failed to put his own house in order,” he said, pressing President Akufo-Addo to concentrate on bringing the party together. He will receive the benefits and gratitude he seeks if he can put together the celebration.
