Eric Johnson, the proprietor of the Upper West Region’s Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, also known as Jirapa Dubai, has departed from this life. According to reports, on Sunday, February 11, some attackers killed Mr. Johnson.
Journalist in the area Mornah Banung-kae Kennedy expressed his sadness on social media after verifying the incidence.
“Jirapa Dubai owner accused of murder? How did we arrive at this location? A really depressing way to start the year, he wrote.
The incident’s details have not yet been made public by the authorities.
The Royal Cosy Hill Hotel and Resort, which provides guests with “the unique opportunity to explore a previously-unexplored parts of Upper West Region in style,” was founded and is led by Mr. Eric Johnson, an entrepreneur.
As a businessman, Mr. Johnson was a great proponent of improving underprivileged neighborhoods.
In 2017, he disclosed that he chose to locate the hotel in Jirapa in order to support the local economy by giving young people jobs and drawing tourists to the area.
He stated, “Private sector participation is very important for national development; government cannot do it alone.”
