The French Ligue 1 Goal of the Month award for January goes to Andre Ayew, the captain of Ghana. In Le Havre’s 3-3 draw with Lorient, Ayew scored a breathtaking bicycle kick to display his extraordinary skill and technique.
Since making his club football comeback, the 34-year-old forward has been playing at a high level, tallying three goals in his past three games. Le Havre, who has had difficulty being consistent in the league this season, has been relieved by his performances.
Ayew’s goal against Lorient was especially amazing because he used a bicycle kick to acrobatically volley the ball into the net. Ayew performed the power and precision parts of the technique perfectly.

The honor is proof of Ayew’s diligence and commitment to his craft. Ayew has found his groove and is now producing for Le Havre after faltering at the Africa Cup of Nations and seeing little action early in the season.
Ayew is continuing to demonstrate why he is still one of Europe’s most dangerous attackers, having scored three goals in his last three games, including an outstanding header against Strasbourg in midweek.
