Former professional footballer Ben Wilkinson, also known as Alistair Benjamin Wilkinson, now works at Manchester City’s academy. His birthday is April 25, 1987. For Hull City, Harrogate Town, Gretna, York City, Altrincham, Chester City, Tamworth, and Boston United, he was a midfielder.
Wilkinson was reared in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, where his father Howard Wilkinson was a former player and manager. He participated in youth sports with the groups Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, and Sheffield United, joining the latter group in May 2003 as a scholar. In January 2005, he started playing at Hull City after completing his scholarship there. He agreed to a two-year professional contract with Hull in the summer of 2006.
