Vin Diesel was born on July 18, 1967, in Alameda County, California, United States. His real name was Mark Sinclair. He was an American producer and actor who was best known for his roles in action films, especially the Fast and the Furious series.
Sinclair grew up in New York City with his mother, fraternal twin brother, and African American stepfather, theater manager Irving Vincent, who gave him some of his first stage roles. He worked as a club bouncer when he was still in his teens and went by the name Vin Diesel. He went to Tracker School, yet he left to function as an entertainer in Los Angeles.
After struggling in Hollywood, where he had only one notable role in the 1990 film Awakenings and had no credits, Diesel moved back to New York in 1995. He received a copy of Rick Schmidt’s 1988 book Feature Filmmaking at Used-Car Prices from his mother.
