Native American stand-up comedian Charles Allan Hill, a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, died on December 30, 2013, at the age of 62.

He contributed to the Roseanne TV show’s scripts. He was the first Native American to become a stand-up comedian on television. He was born on July 6, 1951.

On The Richard Pryor Show in 1977, Hill made his debut on a network. He additionally made several appearances on Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Shows with Jay Leno and Johnny Carson.
