Jalyn Hall is an American actor best known for his role on All American as Dillon James. In the 2022 film Till, he plays Emmett Till. Hall was born in Atlanta and raised there. Hall was cast as Dillon James in the television series All American in 2018.
When Hall auditioned for a role in Till in 2021, he was not told until his second audition that the project was about Emmett Till. Prior to filming, Hall traveled to Georgia to meet with Till’s relatives. The film will be released in October 2022. Carthan’s family relocated to Argo, Illinois, near Chicago, when she was two years old, as part of the Great Migration of rural black families from the South to the North to escape violence, a lack of opportunity, and unequal legal treatment.
