Bonnie Bedelia Culkin, an American actress, was born on March 25, 1948. Bedelia Culkin was born in the Manhattan district of New York City, the daughter of author and editor Marian Ethel and Philip Harley Culkin.

When she was 14 years old, her mother died shortly after her father, who “always had ulcers,” died. She has two brothers, one of which is the actor Kit Culkin, and a sister named Candice Culkin. She is the aunt of the actors Macaulay, Kieran, and Rory Culkin.

Following a successful theatrical debut in the 1960s, Bedelia went on to perform in films including The Gypsy Moths and the CBS daytime drama Love of Life.

Before she became an actor, Bedelia trained in ballet and appeared in a few performances with the New York City Ballet, including The Nutcracker. Bedelia made her film début in The Gypsy Moths in 1969. Later that year, when she portrayed the pregnant marathon dancer in They Shoot Horses, Don’t They, she became well-known.
