Murray McArthur (born 4 May 1966) is a theater, television, and film actor from England.
McArthur was born and raised in Devon.
He frequently portrays Scottish parts as the son of a mushroom farmer, of Scottish ancestry, and with red hair.
He attended King’s School in Ottery St Mary, received a BA (Joint Hons) degree in English and Drama from Loughborough University, and then went on to study acting at the Drama Studio London. He was a member of the Devon County Youth Theatre.
He has appeared in a variety of theatrical performances in both British regional theatres and on London’s West End (including the Royal National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe).
