Actor and former model Travis Fimmel was born in Australia on July 15, 1979. He is recognized for his performances as Anduin Lothar in the live-action Warcraft adaption as well as Ragnar Lothbrok in the History Channel television series Vikings (2013–2017).  Additionally, he appeared in the science fiction HBO Max series Raised by Wolves (2020–2022).

Fimmel began his career by appearing in the music videos for Janet Jackson’s “Someone to Call My Lover” and Jennifer Lopez’s “I’m Real” (original version) (both 2001). Ivana Chubbuck, a Hollywood acting coach, was one of his teachers. He said that “half of acting is conquering your insecurities [and] allowing yourself to be vulnerable in front of people.” It took him two years to get up the guts to audition for his first job.

He was cast as Tarzan, the title character, in The WB series Tarzan (2003), which CNN listed as one of the “five hottest things happening in entertainment right now.” He performed the majority of the stunts himself for the role. In addition, he participated in two television pilots: the Fox crime drama Southern Comfort with Madeleine Stowe in 2006 and the WB drama Rocky Point with Lauren Holly in 2005.
