On March 30, 1999, Larry Borom, an offensive tackle with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League, was born. Prior to being taken by the Bears in the fifth round of the 2021 National Football League Draft, he played college football for Missouri. Borom attended Birmingham Brother Rice and was a 2016 first-team selection for the Detroit North.
As a redshirt freshman, Borom played in all 13 games during the 2018 season, seeing action on special teams and filling in as a backup right tackle. Before converting to right tackle for the second half of the season, Borom started 11 games in 2019 as the starting right guard. For the entire 2020 campaign, Borom started every game at right tackle.
On May 1, 2021, Borom was selected by the Chicago Bears as the 151st overall pick in the NFL Draft. Borom and Chicago reached a four-year rookie deal on June 2. After sustaining an ankle injury during Week 1, he was put on injured reserve on September 18, 2021. He started working on October 30, 2021.
