On June 27, 1990, Bobby Joseph Wagner, an inside linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL), was born. Prior to being chosen by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, he played college football for Utah State. He played with the Seahawks for the full 2021 season.

Wagner participated in Utah State’s pro day on March 30, 2012, and after completing all of the combined drills, wowed scouts and team officials. Throughout his exercise, he demonstrated his adaptability and athleticism, further establishing himself as a top linebacker.

At the NFL combine, his 40-yard speed and broad jump would have placed him first among all linebackers, and his vertical leap would have tied Cal’s Mychal Kendricks for first place. His wide jump, which would have placed third overall among all positions, was five inches higher than any other linebackers at the combine.

Wagner was predicted by NFL draft analysts and scouts to be selected in the second round at the completion of the pre-draft process. According to NFLDraftScout.com, he was the fourth-best outside linebacker selected in the draft.
