Hamza Ahmed Yassin (born 22 February 1990) is a Sudanese-born Scottish wildlife cameraman most known for his work on shows such as Countryfile and Animal Park, as well as for presenting wildlife documentaries in Scotland.

Hamza Yassin, a cinematographer, and presenter, was born on February 22, 1990, and is well-known among viewers of the BBC show Countryfile, Springwatch, and Animal Park.

The 31-year-old traveled to Scotland from Sudan as a child, where he studied biology at Bangor University.

Hamza then improved his photographic abilities at the University of Nottingham, where he earned a Masters in Biological Photography and Imaging.

More than 4 million people have seen his show, Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness.

On August 11, 2022, Hamza was announced as the twelfth celebrity to compete in Strictly 2022.

“I’m sure all of the Strictly candidates this year got a phone call stating they’re going to be on Strictly, however, I’m the odd one out,” he told BBC Radio Scotland.

“I received a satellite text message notifications from my agency that said in capital letters, ‘you are on Strictly Woop, Woop!'”

“I was overjoyed for myself. Because I couldn’t tell anyone, I could only rejoice by myself. So it was just me and the wildlife raving it up!
