John Legend is discussing his present friendship with his longtime friend Kanye West. The rapper has been making news lately for his rants on his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, and other topics.
Going back to his past disputes, when West ran for president, Legend publicly declared his support for Joe Biden rather than Kanye.
Legend recently referred to an earlier interview in which he indicated that the reason his friendship with West soured was due to their contrasting political views.
He also went on to claim that the underlying reason for the tension in their relationship was that Kanye was really disappointed with him because he didn’t support him during his running for President.
John goes on to iterate that political opinions should not be the deciding factor in a connection, however, he does insist that the ball is in Kanye’s court and their being friends again will depend on him getting passed their political differences.
