In 2011, Kurt Egyiawan received his training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He performed the lead in Oedipus and the main part in Richard III in a performance under the direction of Richard Twyman while in training (director: Patsy Rodenburg). In 2011, he received the Spotlight Award.
Egyiawan was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre before beginning her studies at Guildhall. After graduating from theatre school, Egyiawan acted as Q’s assistant in Sam Mendes’s first James Bond film, Skyfall, a year later.
While attending Guildhall, he performed as the title character in theater performances of Richard III and Oedipus. He was a member of the National Youth Theatre as a young person. He won the 2011 Spotlight Award winner for his work on the Best Man Speech.
He starred as Tom in a 2011 London theatre production of Earthquakes.
He first made an appearance as Q’s Assistant in a small part in the 2012 James Bond movie Skyfall.
