Catherine was born to the boxer and his ex-wife, Laverne Payne. She has had four biological sisters since her parents welcomed five daughters together before they parted ways. Her biological siblings are Tamara, Catherine, Carla, and Amy Shevers.
Her late father has five children from other relationships – a son and four daughters hence she has five half-siblings who have also been identified as Catherine, Lisa, Natasha and Latonya, and Earnie, Jr.
