The Nottingham-based football pro has been trending all day following his latest transfer move. The 22-year-old’s contract with the Reds expired this summer after rising through the ranks and graduating to the first team from the Academy.
Preston North End is delighted to announce the signing of Ben Woodburn on a one-year contract with the option of an additional year.
Ben Woodburn became the club’s youngest goalscorer at 17 years and 45 days in November 2016, when he scored in front of the Kop during a League Cup tie against Leeds United.
In addition to several loan spells in recent years, the Wales international made 11 appearances for the club.
He spent last season with Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premiership and has now joined Deepdale as a free agent.
(I’ve been at this amazing club for 16 years. Thank you so much,) Woodburn said on social media. Everyone at Liverpool FC is said to have wished Ben all the best in his future endeavors.
