Peter Brook wife: Who was Natasha Parry?
Natasha Parry was the wife of Brooks. She was a huge supporter of his work.
Joan Littlewood, on the other hand, was his biggest influence. Brook called her “the most galvanizing filmmaker in mid-twentieth-century Britain.” Brook was also influenced by the experimental theatre ideas of Jerzy Grotowski, Bertolt Brecht, Chris Covics, and Vsevolod Meyerhold, as well as the writings of G. I. Gurdjieff, Edward Gordon Craig, and Matila Ghyka.
Throughout his career, Brook worked with a variety of directors, authors, and performers, including actors Paul Scofield and Glenda Jackson, designers Georges Wakhévitch and Sally Jacobs, and writers Ted Hughes and William Golding.
Brook first met Wakhévitch in London, when he attended a performance of Jean Cocteau’s ballet Le Jeune Homme et la Mort, which Wakhévitch designed. Brook stated that he “was persuaded that this was the designer for whom I was working.”
