Tim Sale was an Eisner Award-winning American comic book artist. He is most known for his work with author Jeph Loeb.
He died on June 16, 2022, at 66.

He was however believed to have married in his lifetime.
He spent two years at the University of Washington before heading to New York City to study at the School of Visual Arts and the comics workshop conducted by artist John Buscema.
Before graduating from SVA, he returned to Seattle.
In 1983, Sale began working on the series MythAdventures and was soon working on Thieves’ World.
The majority of Sale’s comics work has been done in collaboration with colleague Jeph Loeb. The team, identified as storytellers in their comics, created popular works such as the “Year 1”-centered Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight Halloween Specials, Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Dark Victory, Superman for All Seasons, and Catwoman: When in Rome.
