Troy Merritt children: Meet sons Dodge Merritt, Scout Merritt
Dodge Merritt and Scout Merritt are the sons of Merrit. Their mother is Courtney Achter. They all live in Boise, Idaho.
Merritt became only the third golfer in history to win a medal at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament by leading after every round on December 7, 2009.
Despite making a double-bogey on the last (108th) hole, he won by one stroke against veteran Jeff Maggert with a score of 22-under-par. Merritt finished 125th on the PGA Circuit in 2010, earning the final position to save his tour card.
Merritt recorded 18-under par over 72 holes in July 2021 to tie for first place at the Rocket Mortgage Classic with Cameron Davis and Joaqun Niemann.
Niemann was knocked out after making a bogey on the opening playoff hole. Merritt eventually bogeyed the fifth playoff hole, leaving Davis to win with a par.
