People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2021
American actor Paul Rudd has been named the Sexiest Man Alive for 2021 by People magazine.
The actor of 52 was awarded the title during Tuesday’s edition of The Late Show.
Prior to presenter Stephen Colbert announcing the big revelation, he teased a few other names that could be running for the title. Among them, Ryan Gosling – and even himself. He also discussed the speculation about the name in his monologue.
Colbert stated: “There has been rampant speculation in the sexiness markets. On Thursday, the New York Post reported that the title would go to Chris Evans. Simultaneously, Dwayne’ The Rock’ Johnson claimed it was his, saying he is always going to be the sexiest man alive.”
“Which, of course, raises the question: Will these two have to fight for the title? And, if so, will they get all sweaty and kind of wrestle? That might be sexy.”

On Tuesday’s show, Colbert hosted Rudd in the disguise of promoting his latest movie, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” and the handsome actor took part in a sketch in which he discussed having his sexuality levels tested scientifically.
After splashing himself with water while acting like a puppy in the dog show and going through an uninformed medical exam, Colbert broke the news that Rudd is not sexy. As he accepted the verdict, Colbert pulled a Willy Wonka-like twist and revealed his humility as the sexiest quality of all, which led to his being crowned as the People’s Sexiest Man on Earth.
He also shared Rudd’s People magazine cover featuring Rudd, who the magazine shared on Instagram.
Rudd will take the title of the actor Michael B. Jordan, who was named the Sexiest Male Alive 2020.
