Hichem Rostom was a well-known Tunisian actor. Since 1987, he has appeared in over 70 films and television series.
For two sessions, he also directed the Carthage Theatre Festival.
Rostom had an early interest in performing due to his maternal grandpa, who regularly took him to the theater. Ali Ben Ayed, a Tunisian actor, found his acting skills.
He appeared in Golden Horseshoes, which was shown in the Un Certain Regard section of the 1989 Cannes Film Festival.
Hichem Rostom was born in La Marsa, Tunisia, to a Turkish family. He received his Baccalaureate degree from Sadiki College in Tunis when he was younger.
He eventually traveled to France to further his education, where he stayed from
1867 to 1967 and earned a degree in Literature from Sorbonne University in Paris.
Rostom Hichem was 75 at the time of his death.
