The Recording Academy has released the nominations list for the 64th annual ceremony. The announcement was done on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

This year, many pop stars dominated the nominations list. American star Jon Batiste received the highest nods; 11 nominations. He is closely followed by Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R., who have eight nod each. Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo are next with seven each.

Also, some top African stars made names for themselves at this year’s Grammy. Angelique Kidjo (Benin), Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, Wizkid (Nigeria) and Rocky Dawuni (Ghana) received nods.

The ceremony will be held on January 31, 2022, at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Centre) in Los Angeles.
