The “Aye” hitmaker, who turns 28 on November 21, decided to receive his birthday presents in advance. And he managed to accumulate a whopping 133.5m naira (equivalent to 324,000 US dollars) in three hours.
Mid-day on Wednesday, Davido took to his Twitter and Instagram accounts to ask industry friends he has created hit songs with to send him money. He also asked his friends and fans to send him money.
Right after announcing it, he created a new bank account and shared his details.
And guess what? In less than an hour, he made 7 million naira (equivalent to 17,000 US dollars).
He moved from 7 million to 22 million in less than one hour. He quickly moved to 40 million in a few minutes. Then, he jumped from 40 million to 55 million in less than two hours.
However, some of his industry folks and people he had collaborated with started showing him love. Rapper M.I. Abaga, singer Tiwa Savage, producer Don Jazzy, Adekunle Gold, Teni, C.K, Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Dremo, and Drizzy showered 1 million naira each on him.
It didn’t end there. A few minutes later, Mr Eazi, Otedola, Cubana Chief Priest, and other Nigerian billionaires and public figures gave him 1 million naira each.
His account balance grew from 57 million naira to 70 million in minutes.

In less than five hours, he shared a screenshot of his account balance, which shows he has a whopping 133.5m naira sitting in his account.
Davido, who is currently in Dubai, isn’t keeping calm over the love he is receiving. A glance through his Instagram account shows he is overly enthusiastic. He is moving from one place to another and chilling hard with his team members.
In one of his Instagram stories, he went straight to a mall in Dubai where he met a business partner who transferred a million naira into his account. He further offered him physical cash.
