Athena fled the house on Wednesday afternoon following a dispute with her stepmother, according to Fox 4. She hasn’t been seen since. Athena got off the bus at 4:15 and as soon as her stepmother found out she was gone she ran out of the home.
According to Fox 4, the stepmother phoned the police after an hour of looking. Her real mother does not reside with them, and at the time, her biological father was out on a hunting trip.

Athena’s mother goes by the name Maitlyn Gandy. Despite having exclusive custody of her daughter, Athena’s mother, who resides in southwest Oklahoma, gave permission for her to spend the fall semester in Texas with her father and stepmother, whose identities are still unknown.

According to our sources, she is the only daughter of her parents. A terrible conclusion to more than two days of searches that involves hundreds of law enforcement officers, aircraft, and dog rescue teams is provided by the discovery of the corpse.
