Aminata Diallo freed: Here’s what PSG said

Paris Saint-Germain has said the club continues to support its players to allow them to overcome this ordeal as soon as possible following the release of its midfielder Aminata Diallo.

The French national team player has been released after spending 24 hours behind bars in France. She was released on Thursday night.

Reports say Aminata was questioned in connection with an assault on her teammate Kheira Hamraoui.

Following her release, PSG issued a statement, saying: “The club continues to support its players to allow them to overcome this ordeal as soon as possible.

“Paris Saint-Germain reiterates its confidence in the justice system to shed full light on the events.

“The club would like to thank everyone for showing restraint and respecting the presumption of innocence as well as the privacy of the team,” it added, as quoted by The Athletic

On Wednesday, November 10, Paris Saint-Germain announced that the police had picked up Aminata Diallo for attacking Kheira Hamraoui, a teammate from the women’s squad.

The French media reports state that Kheira Hamraoui is slain following a night drinking session with Diallo and a third unnamed teammate.
