Media General, parent company of TV3, 3FM, Onua FM, Connect FM, Akoma FM, and APL has assured the public of a smooth and uninterrupted transmission of the 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
As the official Media partners of the event, Media General has given its word that viewers will enjoy every moment of the VGMAs across its media platforms especially on TV3.
The company was heavily criticized by viewers for breaking transmission during the VGMA nominee unveiling and the nominees jam to show news.
Following that experience, many still entertain fears that there may be a break in transmission again, but Head of MG Digital (3news.com), Francis Doku, has allayed the fears, giving an assurance that “We’re not breaking for news on Saturday”.
He noted that Saturday is a very big night and Media General will do all it can to give viewers the best viewing experience.
“I mean, this is the big one, this is the climax of everything that we have done for the last two months or so and so we realize that our audience would want to follow every minute of the VGMA” he noted.
Mr. Doku was also particular about punctuality indicating that the red carpet which is going to be exclusive to Media General will start at exactly 7pm.
Meanwhile, TV and radio personality at Media General, Johnny Hughes and Citi FM’s AJ Sarpong will be hosting the red carpet.
The VGMA is arguably the biggest music awards night in Ghana that awards hardworking music makers.
Much to the pleasure of many, the Zylofon Media signee Stonebwoy who was initially not part of the performers on the night was announced as a last minute addition.
The Bhim Nation president will add to a galaxy list which includes Sarkodie, Samini, Tiwa Savage, Fancy Gadam, Joe Mettle, King Promise,Kidi,Kwame Eugene and others who will thrill patron that night.
