Rapper Okyeame Kwame has recalled his days as an upcoming Ghanaian artiste in a birthday message to Mark Okraku who celebrated his birthday yesterday.
The rapper in the most which was on Facebook recalled how he and other colleagues including Lord Kenya and Okyeame Quofi perched in the one-room apartment of their first manager, Mark Okraku Mantey and toiled before they finally achieved what they wanted.
He indicated that they shared shoes and dresses with Mark and that taught them a lot about life and has since shaped them into better people.
He posted “My first manager, @markokrakumantey, u dey form. No matter how rich you get, your waist is still the same; that’s why we used to call you waistis. I still remember in ’96 when myself, Lord Kenya and Okyeame Kofi moved into your single bedroom ghetto at Alajo, ate from your pocket, wore your shoes, wore your clothes and slept on your carpet till we all became superstars… Happy birthday Senior, I salute you everyday. May you always be buying carpets to fill out your many mansions year after year”.
