Kumawood Actor, Kwaku Manu has said Ghana is suffering from economic hardship under the current government and has called on the leadership of the country to fix things to make the lives of Ghanaians better.
According to him, a number of people call him on a daily basis to beg for what they will eat and that saddens his heart.
The actor who was speaking on Accra-based Hitz FM said what broke his heart was when some veteran musicians and actors begged him for as low as fifty cedis to purchase chicken for their families; an indication that the masses are suffering because of the bad economy.
He said “I’m not an MP or president but I’ve people who call me 24/7 demanding for money. I received calls from veteran musicians and actors requesting for Gh50 just to buy chicken for their family. There are people who cannot even afford chicken for their family are still in this country which is sad”.
