Research has revealed that music production in Ghana increases by 5% every day yet, there is a little platform for these up and coming musicians to produce and exhibit their works.
In simple terms, the art of music production and showcasing over the years hasn’t been particularly favourable to young up and coming talents.
This is what Beatshop GH is about to do in the Ghana music industry this year.
Beatshop GH is a media house that has an interest in seeing these musicians excel. Their aim is to develop, record and promote up and coming talents across the globe through their “Big 6” initiative.
Their target is to have at least 3 or more of these 6 community artistes nominated for the ‘Unsung’ category in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) by the end of every year.
The first edition of Big 6 Concert has been slated for 6th of March 2017 at Tesano Abeka Junction in Accra. It features Wutah Afriyie, Dela Hayes and her Girls Band, David Oscar, Shoulin Monk 4, C2c and the 6 community nominees.
Big 6 concert is dedicated to the less privileged in the society. And it’s sponsored by Golden Key Club and Mikesh Ghana.
