United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, has mocked leader of International God’s Way Church (IGWC), Bishop Daniel Obinim, after the Bishop was charged with physical abuse contrary to the Domestic Violence Act (732).
It could be remembered that Bishop Obinim on live TV flogged some members of his church for fornicating under his watch. A Circuit Court in Accra Friday sat on the case and has charged the Bishop and two of his pastors with physical abuse contrary to the Domestic Violence Act and abetment of crime respectively
Bishop Obinim, Pastor Kingsley Baah and Pastor Solomon Abraham were each granted bail in the sum of GH¢10,000, with one surety, by the court, presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku.
The case has been adjourned to November 24, 2016.
His tweet reads: “He’s been charged. He’d be much more difficult to handcuff, if he turned into a snake”.
