Atom

Hiplife musician, Atom, is one of the luckiest Ghanaian musicians this week because he got himself into the international music mainstream market with his award-winning track called “Y3 Wo Krom”.

During Apple’s presentation at the 2016 World Wide Developer’s Conference, they unveiled sweeping changes to Apple Music and as well as the Messages application.

Before walking off stage, Apple Music executive Bozoma Saint John who is a Ghanaian looked to West Africa to soundtrack the exciting changes, playing a snippet from Atom’s 2015 hit “Y3 Wo Krom”.

But it didn’t end there! The snippet which was played during the presentation seems to have already effected the reach of Atom’s fanbase.

Most of the YouTubers’s comments focused on what brought them there — sort of a boost from Apple Music’s exposure.

Some YouTube commenters wrote on the song’s music video “wwdc brought me here,” and “Thank’s for Appl’s WWDC 2016 i found this song. Hi from Ukraine:).”
